STEPHEN SONDHEIM (Music & Lyrics) wrote the music and lyrics for Saturday Night, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Anyone Can Whistle, Follies, A Little Night Music, The Frogs, Pacific Overtures, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, Assassins, Passion and Bounce, as well as lyrics for West Side Story, Gypsy, Do I Hear a Waltz? and additional lyrics for Candide. Side by Side by Sondheim, Marry Me A Little, You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow and Putting It Together are anthologies of his work as composer and lyricist. For films, he composed the score of Stavisky, co-composed Reds and wrote songs for Dick Tracy and the television production “Evening Primrose.” He co-authored the film The Last of Sheila and the play Getting Away With Murder. Mr. Sondheim is on the Council of the Dramatists Guild, having served as its President from 1973 to 1981. (Top)

GEORGE FURTH (Book) graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Speech and did graduate work at Columbia University. After appearing in dozens of films and countless television shows as an actor, he went on to write (the play or book for) Company, Twigs, The Act, The Supporting Cast, Merrily We Roll Along, Precious Sons and Getting Away With Murder (with Stephen Sondheim). He is currently in workshop with a new musical revue, The End. He has won Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, London’s Olivier and Evening Standard, Chicago’s Jefferson, the Andy and Drama League awards. He is a member of the Actors Studio and the Dramatists Guild.   (Top)

JOHN DOYLE (Director) received a Tony Award for Best Director of a Musical for his Broadway debut production of Sweeney Todd, as well as the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award. He has been artistic director of four prestigious UK regional theatres, where some 200 productions include musicals, new plays and the classics. His extensive work with actor-musicians includes productions of Candide on a UK tour, Carmen at the Royal Opera House, Into the Woods at York Theatre Royal and Fiddler on the Roof at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury. He has numerous West End credits, including his own version of The Gondoliers and a critically acclaimed Mack and Mabel. Future productions include The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny for Los Angeles Opera and Lucia di Lammermoor for Scottish Opera, both in 2007. (Top)

CINCINNATI PLAYHOUSE IN THE PARK (Original Producer).
